The VanDyck Foundation exists because current housing policies and legislation are not working for vulnerable women.

Canada needs a regulatory body that provides licensing for privately-owned not-for-profit housing corporations, especially in human and sex-trafficking hot spots like the County of Simcoe.

Privately-owned not-for-profit housing corporations require staff trained by a trauma-informed model of care.
And we need to ensure accountability and transparency with Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) rental calculations and direct payments made between income supplement providers such as the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (CCSS) and housing services providers such as the Barrie Municipal Non-Profit Housing Corporation (BMNPHC) and the Simcoe County Housing Corporation (SCHC).

Join us in our efforts to promote social justice and equality.
