The VanDyck Foundation is a private operating foundation with charitable status number 77364 5148 RR0001. The VanDyck Foundation is governed by a restricted charitable purpose trust, rather than a Board of Directors. Leah Dyck is the sole Trustee, and Founder of the Fresh Food Weekly program, which ran through The VanDyck Foundation.
I started the Fresh Food Weekly program in late 2020, not long after being laid off from my merchandising job with Metro News 360. The very first charitable activity I did was a Christmas meal box delivery for single moms who'd been in the Women & Children's Shelter of Barrie at some point in time. After that, I did several more holiday meal boxes, until the program eventually turned into an on-going venture of fresh food deliveries.
